Welcome to our district website! This should be your first stop for information regarding our contest. Please remember deadlines are not suggestions. They are needed to make everything run smoothly. There is a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes for everything to get done. The fees for the conference are $10 per person. Advisers must be registered for the conference, as well as students. Please remember that per district policy, each chapter must have at least one adviser assist the day of contest for their students to be eligible for competition. This helps the contest run more smoothly. At least one adviser from each chapter must attend the Fall Planning Meeting. The 2017 District 1 Leadership Conference will be held Thursday, February 9 @ NWMSU in Maryville (back up date 2/11/17 @Osborn High School).
Prelims will be held on Thursday, February 2 @ Osborn High School (back up date 2/4/17 @ Osborn High School).
Drops–Please list any students that are dropping any event by Friday, January 13 @ 5:00 p.m. so that Deborah can complete the performance schedules.
Conflicts–Whether you have conflicts or not, please fill out this form by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 19. (If your chapter is leaving before 3:30, please mark yes and then make note of the time you are leaving in the comment section.If any of your students are in two events and there is a possible conflict in the time of their events, that should also be noted on this form.
Administrator Video (For All Advisers)–Please watch the video (10 minutes) and complete the short verification form by 5:00 p.m. on January 31. All advisers should complete this in case we need to switch assignments to cover an event.
